How to submit a DMCA takedown notice

To help us process requests quickly, please include all of the following elements in your written notification (these are the standard elements under the DMCA):

1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (title, description, and — where possible — a link to an authorized version).
2. Identification of the material you claim is infringing and where it is located on our site (provide the exact URL(s) of the infringing content).
3. Your contact information including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
4. A statement that you believe in good faith that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
6. Your physical or electronic signature (a typed name may be used as an electronic signature).

What happens after we receive a valid notice?

• We will review the notice and, if it appears to be valid, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material while we investigate.
• We will notify the user who posted the content that a notice has been received and provide them with a copy of your notice.
• If the user files a counter-notice, we will process that in accordance with the DMCA and applicable law.

Counter-notice (if you believe removal was a mistake)

If you are the user whose content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice. To be effective, a counter-notice must include the following:

1. Identification of the material that was removed (URL or other location).
2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
3. Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you are outside the U.S., the jurisdiction where TheFameCrowd is located), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice.
4. Your physical or electronic signature.
