Ice Spice began rapping at a young age, inspired by artists like Lil Kim, Nickie Minaj, and Jessie. She started her career in 2021 after meeting producer Riot and released her debut single “Bully Freestyle” in March 2021. The song went viral on Tik Tok and Ice n Spice quickly became famous. In late 2022, Ice n Spice released her single “Munch” and Boom. This song went viral and helped her break into the mainstream.

Ice Spice had one of the wildest come ups in the recent rap industry. We’re talking meteoric with her viral hit “Munch”. She went form Tick Tock sensation to rubbing elbows with legends. In just a year, she got a co-sign from Drake, dropped a track with Nicki Minaj and even collaborated with Taylor Swift, yeah you read it right. Taylor Swift. That kind of rise is almost unheard of.
When her track “Munch” exploded on Tick Tock, everyone thought she is going to be hear and gone within a month but with her most collaboration reaching number three on the Billboard Hot 100, her rise has exposed a lot of truth about hip-hop that people are not willing to accept. She is one of the first female rappers to come out of the Bronx drill scene.

Fast forward a year later and somehow she’s lost over half her fan base and not only that, she’s got fan groups turning against her. People says that all she has is twerking. Don’t get me wrong. Twerking was part of her brand sure but when that becomes your whole thing, people start getting bored. People have start commenting on her videos that she’s basically just a dancer now but here’s the kicker. Twerking is the least of her problems, the real issue is her music which is repetitive. I mean seriously repetitive. It’s like listening to the same song on loop with slightly different packaging.
The worst part is, she somehow keeps sneaking poop references into her lyrics. It feels like we’ve got a rapper whose main topics are twerking and poop. I’m not sure where her career is headed from here. She seriously need to work on her behavior and quality of music.
